The second half of 2008, IŽld have to admit was a stinker. We lost a very loved family member, Marbles we diagnosed with SM in August, and we had to put a stop to the pain in November. Marbles (2007-2008)
I donŽt think we could ever replace her. Karen, my wife, has been working like a horse, passing more of her accountancy exams (ACCA), and they seem to be getting harder, so on the final 3 exams in June then sheŽs free. Not to mention feeding the family, keeping the house in order, and fitting a fulltime job into part-time hours, teaching cello, and helping out at the local music centre. God knows where she get the drive let alone the time to do it all. Emily and Jasmine are just very happy, there music is very strong, both taking exams in violin and theory. In the next year, weŽll see there secondry instruments come into there own, clarinet and trumpet. :-) They also do swimming, and would come home with various certificates 5 metre this... 20 metre that... then one day returned home with 1.5km certificate. 1.5 kilometres!! hot golly, most adult canŽt even run 1.5 kilometres let alone swim. From myself IŽve vowed to pick up my trumpet and try and get back into the music scene, IŽve had to put Samba in hold for the time being, and concentrate on getting my lip back in, playing the trumpet is such an atheletic instrument, if you want a 6 pack, then eat well, stay off the beer, and blow. Obviously to be a good trumpet player you need alot of beer, so you rarely see slim players. I also vowed to update my website more often, IŽve many new and exciting websites for launch this year, so stay tuned.
